My extensive training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), PACT, Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Brainspotting, and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprogramming (EMDR), helps me customize a unique path towards healing fit for you!.
I specialize in providing therapy for individuals and couples who wish to make positive and lasting changes in their lives and relationships, grow and develop, for themselves and those they love. Human beings thrive when they feel genuinely loved; therefore, the most important thing I can offer you is a safe, compassionate and supportive space that allows each person to feel heard and validated. Do you feel more and more distant from your partner each time you continue to argue about the same old things without any change? In our sessions, you can expect to defuse the conflicts as we begin to understand what drives them.

I also draw from a number of time-tested psychotherapeutic modalities including Psychodynamic, AEDP, DBT, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Core Self Reclamation Therapy (CSRT) & Body-Mind approaches.
Whether you're feeling the pain of a loss, are locked in the grip of depression, or are worried that an important relationship is in trouble, I would like to offer my help. Life presents many challenges and no doubt you've been able to respond well to most of them, but when stress overwhelms your ability to cope effectively, you can find relief, empowerment, and clarity with the help of a therapist, who not only deeply listens but actively helps you to explore, understand, and find tools to address the true nature of your distress.

Feeling deeply and embracing your emotions to create a life based on your own standards is okay. Embracing your emotions can be scary, but it doesn’t always need to be. I help people make wiser decisions that actually move them closer to where they want to be, rather than being sucked into emotionally messy situations. When you can’t figure out why you have multiple problems in your life you can feel awful about yourself. Our work will find the connection, or the “golden thread” and we will create strategies, so you feel worthy and realize you aren’t broken. The results are relief and confidence. We can only move beyond our feelings

AEDP Therapists

Who is AEDP therapy for?

Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP) is for adults who have experienced emotional pain in the past that, because it has not been adequately addressed and processed, interferes with current functioning. The problems might manifest in a number of different ways, from excessive anger to relationship difficulties to PTSD to eating disorders, poor self-esteem, and depression. They may also be accompanied by physiological symptoms. AEDP helps people accept and digest challenging emotional experiences.

Why do people need AEDP?

People need AEDP as a way to manage distressing emotions—including anger, shame, and guilt—that in some way hamper the ability to function and form satisfying relationships in the present. The therapist-client relationship is believed to provide corrective emotional and relational experiences that facilitate positive changes in brain function, forge pathways for processing traumatic experiences, and allow resolution of emotional pain.

What happens in AEDP therapy?

Once individuals have established a strong bond with the AEDP therapist and the therapist has established a safe and secure environment, clients are encouraged to explore their most painful emotional experiences. They may be asked to pay attention to disquieting body sensations as well as to psychological discomfort. Individuals learn how to process emotions, rather than avoid them. Through the strength of the therapist-client bond, each session is intended to provide a powerful positive experience for individuals, enabling growth.

What problems does AEDP treat?

AEDP is intended to treat the unprocessed emotional pain caused by earlier distressing experiences, which commonly includes behavioral avoidance of current situations and experiences for fear that they will reactivate painful feelings. Emotional pain and avoidant behavior play a role in a wide array of mental health conditions, which is why AEDP is applied to the treatment of a range of disorders including depression, anxiety, PTSD, relationship difficulties, and eating disorders.
