I see a variety of individual adults and couples in my practice. I believe psychotherapy is an important tool in helping people discover their natural ability to heal, to love and to grow. I strive to help people develop awareness and trust in their instincts, coming to better know who they are. My focus with clients is to help them discover new ways of relating with themselves and others. I specialize in anxiety/trauma issues, depression, adolescence, couples and sexuality concerns. I use EMDR in my work and I teach Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy classes.

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years experience working with adults and adolescents. My way of working with others is eclectic and also grounded in both a cognitive behavioral approach and a biopsychosocial approach in working with people. I focus on the here and now and view the person in the context of the individual, their experiences, their interactions, as well as their psychological and physical health. I enjoy helping people with challenges or difficulties they may face and I consider it an honor to be entrusted with this help.

Growing up does not have to be unnecessarily painful or lonely. I help children, adolescents and young adults navigate developmental transitions with creativity and purpose. I also provide parents with education, skills and support to augment treatment. Young people often need guidance to explore their feelings, discover their unique strengths, and find meaning in their lives as they transition into adulthood. Challenges like family conflict, school problems, sexual confusion, depression, identity development, substance abuse, anxiety and stress can be greatly alleviated through the attentive support of a caring, unbiased professional.

I am a licensed Marriage, Family, and Child Therapist. I work with individuals and couples. I have been in practice for over 25 years using a cognitive behavioral approach. More recently I have been using the TEAM model developed by Dr. David Burns to help clients more quickly resolve issues of depression and anxiety. These techniques are also very helpful in working through relationship problems and changing unwanted habits. I use a collaborative approach the requires that the client and I work closely together to develop a very individual treatment plan.
