My style is interactive and relational, and employs uncovering family of origin dynamics, but also more practical, EMDR and Brainspotting methods to help make changes more quickly. I'm a mindfulness-based psychotherapist specializing in treating teens (14 and up) and adults struggling with anxiety disorders, trauma, anger management, and pervasive emotion dysregulation, as well as failure-to-launch, complex grief, and couples who are suffering from infertility and the complex opportunities and challenges of international adoption. Engaging in therapy is one of the greatest gifts we can give to ourselves and those we care about. The good news is that our bodies are able to recover from such events and we can move out of the stuck places and recover our resiliency and courage.

I specialize in trauma, anxiety, women's issues, and teens. I also offer EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) as a way to help clients heal from difficult life experiences. Although I use regular "talk therapy," I specialize in these techniques because it works. There is lasting change. It regulates your nervous system and increases overall resilience. You will learn to trust your body's innate wisdom and capacity to heal and Feel Calmer.

I am passionate about working with a range of ages from children to adults. All populations are can undergo transitional periods and stages of change that can cause anxiety and extreme stress. Some of my particular areas of interest are: grief, loss, relationships, trauma, attachment, depression, anxiety, substance use, grief, OCD, relationship conflict, and adjustment difficulties.
