Hi! My specialty is in trauma and complex trauma. What does that mean? Well, what trauma is to each person is different but there are levels that do take one to severe disruption in their daily lives. This disruption is where I want to help people discover how to define what it is, work to find a way to manage the chaos and emerge with a hope that life can be all that they desire. The person that struggles with this will understand what I am describing and be intrigued to meet with me to see if we are a therapy fit. This holds true in any of the many areas of therapy that I have listed as I have experience and passion to help.

Connecting with a therapist is no easy task these days. Finding a person who will listen without judgement, honor your current struggles, and sit with you as you sort through your next steps is an important part of connection. Whether you appreciate some humor, prefer to snuggle my therapy dog, or participate in hands on art, music, sand, or play therapy interventions, I have many ways to create connection with my clients. I also use creative interventions for clinical individual or group supervisions for graduate level students or LPCCs!

My passion is working alongside trauma survivors of all ages as they heal, understand previously learned patterns, and rewrite new ones. It's important to me that you feel seen and in control on your healing journey. I do this through a collaborative approach to exploring the feelings in your body as well as the thoughts in your mind.

I know firsthand how hard it can be to reach out. Not only can it be confusing even to know where to start, but it can be difficult to navigate finding the right person, not to mention it is an investment! I can appreciate what it takes, and I am here to help however I can in the process for you. While my personal beliefs are in the Christian faith, and I offer professional Christian counseling, I welcome all clients regardless of your beliefs or background. I enjoy working with clients who are interested in gaining further insight into patterns in their life and who hope to feel empowered to make changes. I believe that times of transition in life, while usually stressful, also provide immense opportunities for growth. I consider it a privilege to work with clients during these times in life and to help them use their resilience as a tool. Some examples of transition periods in life include, but are not limited to: start or end of relationships, death of a loved one, moving, career changes, starting or finishing college, birth of a child, marriage, or divorce.
