I work experientially and utilize a variety of traditional and modern somatic methods to help you attain fulfillment. I am skilled at helping people safely explore deep core issues and find ways through the healing process with strength and grace by creating an open, honest relationship with themselves to create lasting long-term growth and change.

I currently specialize in providing evidence-based and trauma-focused psychotherapy to adults, couples, and teenagers in order to strengthen resiliency, promote stability in the home, and improve family functioning. I have extensive experience working with adults with depressive or anxiety issues, couples, behavioral issues, LGBT issues, and school-based issues. I work directly with individuals to ensure that even the most challenging or threatening behaviors can be managed.

I believe issues in our lives arise from a lack of connection to others and to the internal parts within ourselves. Once we strengthen these connections and resolve inner conflict, we are able to reach a state of feeling more integrated and authentic. I see individuals who want to overcome trauma, anxiety, stress, anger, depression, mental distress, self-esteem, career challenges, relationship issues, grief/loss, and life/role changes.

I help clients that are struggling with addiction, trauma and symptoms of trauma, relationship issues, men's issues, anxiety, depression, and self-esteem. There can be a variety of reasons to make a change and that change can only happen when we recognize that we want to improve our life. Generally people that are successful in accomplishing their goals are motivated to participate in the process and tend to view therapy as a supportive piece of that journey. When working with clients, I utilize a client-centered, collaborative approach. I approach the counseling relationship from a perspective of "meaning making" which suggests that people act on what they believe about situations, not the situation itself. Together, we use that knowledge as a basis to explore, assess, illuminate, unravel, and move forward through obstacles towards a goal-oriented outcome.
