My ideal client is someone who really wants to change and is scared to change. My ideal client is someone who may not be able to afford therapy and yet really wants someone to help them work on their issues that are keeping them from finding peace and healing. This is one of the reasons I choose not to take insurance and that I keep my rates low. I want everyone who is looking for help to have that opportunity. I am trained in Emotionally-Focused Couples and Family Therapy (EFT) and do individual therapy for teens (12+) and adults. In addition to my professional training, my therapy is informed by my previous work as a classroom teacher, school leader, and wilderness therapy guide. I strive to create a warm environment where clients feel safe to bring all parts of themselves. I see my clients as collaborators, and if you choose to work with me, we will work together to set goals, to evaluate our progress and to respond to your needs as they evolve.

I welcome the opportunity to work with clients at various stages of the human-life-cycle. I often work with people who feel stifled by feelings of anxiety and panic, depleted by feelings of depression, emptiness and hopelessness. While these powerful feelings can be overwhelming and disruptive, they are usually signs that something essential to our vitality, body, or relationships needs to be sensitively attended to and addressed. My goal is to assist my clients to live fuller and more satisfying lives and to achieve these goals in a short period of time. I work really hard for my clients and truly enjoy my profession.
