Hi! I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor in Texas and I enjoy helping clients to see progress and make positive change.

Often times people allow feelings of anxiety, fear, guilt, shame, etc. to keep them from accomplishing goals that are meaningful to them. I incorporate honesty, direct communication, and compassion into my approach to encourage individuals to be an agent of change within there own lives and align themselves with what they truly value.

I serve to empower my clients and assist them in working through and overcoming their mental and behavioral health struggles.

I believe that counseling has the potential to help a person unlock his/her ultimate potential. I utilize a humanistic approach to therapy that seeks to help a person integrate mind and body, in an effort to achieve wholeness. I incorporate modalities such as play therapy expressive arts, and sand tray therapy. However, I believe the power of the therapeutic relationship is quintessential for success with clients. My priority is to help clients feel safe and open in order to explore past and/or current issues.

I am honored to be able to assist others with challenges throughout life and I have been counseling clients for over 15 years. I have worked with trauma, and criminal justice issues as well as using play therapy. I am trauma focused and I believe trauma colors our behaviors and our future self. I use Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Processing Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing therapy to explore past trauma that is affecting your life.

I truly believe that while you may come in broken, by faith, you can leave healed! I approach therapy in a collaborative manner with my clients. To effectively collaborate, I have a "no walking on eggshells" policy in our therapeutic space. Hold on, Faith! What does a “no walking on eggshells” policy mean? This policy empowers my clients to present what they may think are the “icky” parts of themselves without fear of being unrighteously judged in therapy. I will work to earn your trust so have faith in me, yourself, and the process as part of your healing journey.

We all have a core need to be seen, heard, and valued. The journey of integration and healing can be complicated and non-linear, and I am here to partner with you on that path to wholeness. Uncovering your authentic self takes courage and requires the healing of childhood wounds, trauma, and societal pressures. I offer professional expertise in learning how to re-parent yourself, set healthy boundaries, and integrate wellness into your life as you reach your goals. I believe you are capable of tapping into resiliency and manifesting the life that you want through the therapeutic process.

Sometimes as we go through difficult seasons personally or in our relationships in life, dark thoughts can begin to arise: “How did I get here?”, “I don’t know how much longer I can do this.”, “What’s the point in trying anymore”, and it goes on. Being lost in these questions and the darkness can be so consuming that we reach a point to where we don’t even recognize the person in the mirror anymore. I am here to tell you, you don’t have to fight that agonizing fight alone. I want to turn this dark season of life to illumination of purpose, uncovering truth and strength.
