What is common to every one of us are experiences of hardship followed by the emotional unraveling of our lives. In these moments, we are called to acknowledge the reality of our struggle, to honor our emotions through expression within the safe spaces they deserve, and to experience healing, strength and the confidence to meaningfully move forward. Therapy is a process of discovery wherein we may explore and discuss comparative self-criticism based on anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and major life changes. I believe that healing through meaning-making is possible through self-compassion.

I help children and adolescents feel seen and understood while providing a safe space for them where we work together through obstacles in their life. My goal is to help them overcome different obstacles in their lives and help them develop skills to help them move forward. I want to provide for them a safe space in therapy where they can express themselves freely and grow. I believe every person is unique and should be treated as such, my therapeutic approach is more humanistic, seeing the person for who they are and working collaboratively to help meet their needs.

I believe therapy can be a catalyst for important changes we want to make in our lives. I work with folx who experience symptoms of anxiety, depression, ADHD ; people who want to improve their relationships and those who just want to learn more about themselves while building a more pleasurable and purposeful life. Many of my clients seek to enhance their sense of self by unpacking their experience of trauma in the context of varying identities, neurodiversities, family structures, and/or immigration experiences. I also work with children and their families who have experienced stress, life disruptions and trauma.

Psychotherapy and psychoanalysis should be an investment in creating a life. It should be a goal-driven partnership between the two people in the room. In the therapeutic process we find new goals and have to reassess priorities, shifting back and forth between concrete issues and more abstract concerns with the continued effort of reducing emotional pain and finding a way to live in the world. Choosing to pursue therapy is a difficult decision but one that can offer great benefit.
