I have experience in providing individual, couples, and group psychotherapy services largely to minorities, LGBTQ individuals, adults, and at risk youth dealing with mental health concerns such as anxiety and depression. While this list is not all-inclusive, I also have extensive experience dealing with substance abuse/recovery, harm reduction, trauma, and chronic illnesses.

The first step to making a change is identifying that there is a problem. Each person is so vastly different, there is no one-size fits all approach to therapy. When working with clients, I integrate tenants from various therapeutic approaches to fit the individuals needs that day. Whether it’s anxiety, depression, a significant life-event or change, the right therapist can make all the difference.

I have found that many people enter therapy not because of a complex mental health issue but because of a general feeling of life not being what they would like it to be. I've been there. Many years ago I embarked on my own personal growth journey and I believe that has made me a more compassionate, empathic therapist. . I am very active in the therapeutic process and give direct feedback and suggestions for implementing lifestyle changes.

I believe that everyone deserves to have a sanctioned space where they can prioritize their needs and goals, in order to process past and present experiences. In a society where we may not be taught or allowed to experience a full range of emotions, I want to ensure that my clients will feel affirmed in their feelings, while simultaneously challenging them to analyze their roots. My primary goal is to support clients in healing from the inside out and tailor the therapeutic relationship to each individual's need, while simultaneously emphasizing the importance of community, connection, and collaboration to achieve liberation.

It's okay to talk about it. Life brings unexpected and difficult challenges that leave us feeling lost and unsure. Grief, trauma, relationship struggles, life transition, work-related issues, addiction, existential or spiritual doubts, and persistent feelings of guilt, shame, and inadequacy. These experiences can be demoralizing and defeating but also provide an immense opportunity for change and growth.
