I focus on attunement, naming my practice Modern Attunement to align with my belief that intimacy and growth grow from a place from being attuned to our gut instinct, the people that we share our life with. Attunement comes from being in the present, accepting the tension of intimacy in being known and knowing.

Hello! Hola! I'm glad you found your way here. For therapy to be effective, it's important to find a therapist who feels like a good fit for you. My name is Sofia, and I provide therapy for individuals, including children over 8 years old, adolescents, and adults. I offer therapy in both English and Spanish. I believe there is no one-size-fits-all approach to counseling, and I aim to provide individualized care for each client. I completed a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 2020, and I am currently a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in Minnesota.

My typical client would say they’re a high achiever, “successful” on paper, and struggle with symptoms of anxiety, perfectionism, depression, low self esteem, or challenges with relationships and boundaries. I work with individuals who have a history of relational trauma or injury, grief and loss, or are navigating life transitions or changes. I work with couples who are dealing with distress within their relationships, difficulty communicating, or are looking to deepen their emotional bond.
