Christina specializes in creating safe spaces for children, adolescents, teens, and families to explore their emotions and experiences in order to facilitate a harmonious family system. With over a decade of experience both locally and internationally in the fields of mental health, trauma recovery, and education, Christina utilizes an eclectic therapeutic approach that is uniquely tailored to meet the family’s needs. Christina believes that the relationship between the client and the therapist is the cornerstone of progress and she values those relationships deeply.

In my practice, I recognize that as people we have many different emotions and experiences that drive us. Tracy Thompson is the owner of the Family Therapy Place, and is a Licensed Professional Counselor. Tracy specializes in working with children and families who have discovered that life can be a tough journey. Tracy’s training and speciality is with children who have experienced developmental trauma, often due to neglect or abuse. Tracy has a strong belief and training in the experiences of attachment and works with families to rebuild and nurture attachments when they have been broken. Tracy also works with adult families that are working to manage and resolve conflict that has surfaced or created separation within the family.

Nikki has served in the Army, been a teacher and brings her experiences with people of diverse nationalities, languages, faiths, and cultures led to her therapy. As a licensed clinical social worker, Nikki has assisted clients of all ages in diagnosis and assessment and adolescents, adults, and seniors in therapy. She enjoys working with people who are going through Functional Movement Disorders, life changes, depression, anxiety, grief, strokes, and trauma to help create a more stable and happier sense of self in order to better understand and process where they are in their lives.

I have worked extensively with individuals across the life span with depression and anxiety using cognitive behavioral therapy, breath work and mindfulness. I see depression and anxiety as disorders of rumination, getting stuck in ruminative loops of thinking they cannot escape from. I understand that most humans will need some assistance as they deal with very complex relational and environmental stressors. Most clients have a difficult time with learning how to be observers of their thoughts and emotions. We do have good evidence that treatment can provide relief by developing habits that support change and restorative growth
