Parenting is hard and doesn't come with an instruction book. As a therapist trained to work with children and families, I help parents whose children are struggling with challenges related to behavioral and emotional concerns such as anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, abuse, peer and school difficulties and adjustment issues. I can help you understand and manage your child's behavior, explore ways to feel more emotionally connected with them, and improve your relationship. Let me help you connect with your child so that you can build and strengthen your relationship in order to work through any challenges you might be facing.

We all go through periods of time in our lives when we could use a helping hand. Many different circumstances exist that can cause us to struggle: stress, life transitions, parenting, relational challenges, unresolved issues from the past, etc. Counseling can be a great place to find support and get help with figuring out what changes you want to make and how to go about them. I enjoy building supportive relationships with my clients and helping them to navigate life’s challenges. I have a particular passion for work involving parenting challenges and the parent-child relationship.

It is hard to ask for help! I am passionate about working with individuals who are motivated and willing to grow personally. I help them understand they have more control in their lives than it may seem. I teach my clients to recognize their strengths and abilities which empowers them. I guide them in their decision making so they recognize what steps help them reach their goals faster and improve their quality of life!

Difficulties in our lives can interfere with our happiness, perhaps leaving us feeling stuck, anxious, depressed or angry. We want our lives to be better. Fortunately, the human spirit is resilient. This often is when we can heal, reconnect, and move forward in our life. My practice is built on the belief in our power to move from pain, change, to growth and joy.
