I want to meet all my clients right where they are. I strive to welcome you as you are into my practice and will work diligently to understand your cares and concerns. I am open to working with clients with a wide variety of issues, but I particularly enjoys working with individuals experiencing anxiety and/or depression, those experiencing grief and loss, and providing premarital counseling to couples.

Choosing a therapist is a very personal decision. Therapy is only as effective as the relationship between the therapist and client and because of this I believe the best way to determine if a therapist is right for you is to book a session and simply meet in person and to trust your instincts. My focus is to help individuals heal, energize, and become aware of their inner strengths. I achieve this by providing a neutral safe space, listening to your concerns, and customizing a treatment plan.

I believe that in order to be healthy and happy, the individual must be focused on growth and change. If you are not healthy or happy, then change is needed. However, several factors complicate this simple truth. We give too much or allow our power to be stolen rather than exchanged; Fear, anger, and sadness can override logic and wisdom. How we act and think affects our experience of reality. I work clients to help increase their sense of self-direction, align their behaviors with their goals, and replace the negative thoughts and behaviors with a more positive perspective.

I love working with motivated clients who are ready to address some hard issues. I am often inspired by people's bravery when they are ready to face issues head on. Therapy is about progress, not perfection and I want to walk side by side with those who are striving for progress.

Imani Behavioral Health was started in May of 2018 as a way to serve the community with a multicultural team of professionals providing quality services through a multitude of therapeutic specialties. As the company grew and clientele increased; we began to realize the difficulty of finding a mental health agency that provides quality services to accommodate everyone’s various needs.
