Since 2013, I have been serving clients struggling with trauma, PTSD, addiction, relationship/family conflict, depression, and anxiety. Therapy is a journey into yourself. It is choosing to step out of your comfort zone into an uncomfortable place in order to grow and heal. When we face and process our feelings and emotions, they become less overwhelming and painful. I am trauma-focused and see therapy through a lens of trauma, which is on a spectrum. I use traditional talk therapy, IFS (Internal Family Systems), EMDR, CBT, Hypnotherapy, and somatic approaches. I provide individual, couples, family, and group therapy.

I specialize in working with adults who have trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, grief, stress, and relationship issues. Often when we experience difficult life events, we hold our upsetting memories vividly in our thoughts, beliefs, emotions, and even in our bodies. We revisit the painful past again and again, stuck in negativity and unable to simply talk our way out of the distress. I help my clients to access and process, at a deeper level, these experiences, using effective, evidence-based modalities that work. We clear out the painful past to make room for the joyful, fulfilled, self-actualized life they yearn for and deserve.

Feeling stuck? Wondering why you keep finding yourself in the same struggle, experiencing the same pain or relationship issues, yet again? Or perhaps you feel invisible or unheard, or can't find your own voice? I work with clients to explore how unresolved issues from the past impact the present. In an open and safe environment, we explore authentic feelings and lost aspects of self often censored in general society, toward greater personal insight, growth and change. An accepting and validating therapy relationship can be a key element in the healing of old wounds and opening up of new possibilities.

I specialize in working with adults who are experiencing relationship concerns, anxiety, depression, life transitions, navigating college or graduate school, and/or healing from trauma.
I am a licensed Clinical Psychologist with a collaborative, empowering, and supportive approach to therapy. Oftentimes, clients come to therapy knowing they want to “go” somewhere in their life or relationships. Sometimes, the destination is not totally clear, and sometimes they know exactly where they want to go but not quite how to get there. We’ll begin by clarifying where you are in your journey- the metaphorical “you are here” dot on your map. Once we clarify where you are, and how you got here, we will work together to determine where you want to go, which route you want to take, and how to move in that direction.

Caring for yourself and your relationships is the most important task you will ever have. Paying attention to and nourishing your emotional well being is as important as caring for your physical health. Often I encounter individuals, couples and families struggling with the excessive demands of life in the 21st century. Depression, anxiety and addictions are common in our society. Conflicts and difficulty in communication with those closest to us can often lead to feelings of isolation and despair.

I offer treatment for issues related to pregnancy, motherhood, relationship distress, postpartum depression/ anxiety, and much more.
Being a mother is challenging. You have more worries, less time, and no room for "self-care." You may question your abilities, your partner, your career path, and more. You may even be anxious about delivering your baby. Have you completely lost yourself in a sea of stress, worry, and sadness? You are not alone. I am a mother, wife, and survivor of perinatal anxiety. I understand the fluctuating hormones that can cause our mood disturbances. I want to help you to manage your anxiety, replace your depressive thoughts, and understand the chemical changes that cause them. With individual or couples therapy you will be well!

Relationship Issues Therapists
While need for human connection appears to be innate, the ability to form healthy, loving relationships is learned. Some evidence suggests that the ability to form a stable relationship starts to form in infancy, in a child's earliest experiences with a caregiver who reliably meets the infant's needs for food, care, warmth, protection, stimulation, and social contact. Such relationships are not destiny, but they are theorized to establish deeply ingrained patterns of relating to others. The end of a relationship, however, is often a source of great psychological anguish.
