A central guiding principle of my practice as a clinical psychologist is that anyone who seeks assistance from a mental health professional should be accorded the utmost respect. Seeking treatment outside one's family and/or friends is best viewed as recognition of the reality that none of us is an expert in every difficulty with which we are faced. Asking for help is viewed as a strength, not as a weakness. Sometimes, working with a mental health professional who does not render judgements about one's functioning but simply attempts to help one understand oneself is just what the doctor ordered.

Hi, my name is Karri and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and I have lived in the Hampton Roads area since 2011. I love what I do, I’m passionate about my work and focusing on my client’s journey toward healing, growth, and transformation. I understand the importance of meeting my clients wherever he/she/they is/are in life. I hold each client’s therapeutic work with great regard.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor, a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, and a Certified Anger Management Specialist-I. I work with populations from children to senior adults. I have worked in various clinical settings including state and local hospitals, group homes, in-home, and a university counseling center. I have over 30 years of experience providing individual, group, and couples counseling, along with training programs, and seminars on various topics.

I have a special interest in working with woman suffering from abusive relationships, co-dependency, or parenting issues.

The Mental Wellness Collective is a virtual group therapy serving clients in GA. Our practice specializes in meeting the needs of Women of Color and teen girls who are often underrepresented and underserved in wellness space dealing with a variety of mental health issues as they navigate this journey called life.

Breaking free from unhealthy patterns in our lives can be difficult. Emotions may feel out-of-control at times and self-defeating thoughts may run amok in our minds. We might feel trapped in isolation, unhealthy relationship cycles or struggle to move beyond past hurts, traumatic experiences or our own mistakes. There is hope.
