I'm a Psychotherapist with a background in Psychoanalysis. During more than twenty-five years of clinical experience I have worked with a global clientele with cultural diversity; focusing my practice on the treatment of adolescents and adults who struggle with anxiety, depression, addictions, family, and relationship problems. My training began as a Psychologist in Argentina, and years later I completed a master in Social Work at New York University. Additionally, I have done extensive training in Psychoanalysis at the World Association for Psychoanalysis.

Seeking help can feel overwhelming or vulnerable. As a highly sensitive person, my goal is to create a safe, non-judgmental space where I can help you navigate obstacles that will ultimately foster growth and healing. I'm genuinely interested in understanding more about you, including areas where you might be facing challenges in relationship with yourself or others. As a holistic clinician, I firmly believe in the interconnectedness of our minds and bodies. The traumas from our past or current experiences can reside within both, calling for exploration and integration for healing.

I am a Columbia University-trained psychotherapist with over 13 years of experience. I believe that we begin to heal through relationships. I work with individuals to bring choice back to their lives. I also work with couples to find a new way of being together. My background is in working with adult and children trauma survivors. I have postgraduate training in psychoanalytic psychotherapy. I hold a three year postgraduate certificate in couples therapy. I am also trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) for couples. I am a psychologist and family/parenting expert. I have over 40 years of teaching patients how to use practical psychological skills to further marriage and family life. As a parenting expert, my goals are to help you flourish psychologically and help your child develop into a psychologically healthy adult. I also work with patients who may be having problems with anxiety, depression, marriage and parenting relationships. As a psychotherapist, I have integrated multiple modalities into effective problem-solving approaches to personal, marital, family and relationship problems to help create better marriages and families.

As a licensed psychotherapist with a holistic perspective, I work with adults and couples to address problems with troubling issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma and grief. Concerns with sexuality, sexual identity, and relationships are areas where I am experienced. I have a particular interest in resolving inhibitions and insecurities that are barriers to creative expression and successful relationships. With over 30 years of clinical experience, my enthusiasm for my work has only grown. I view my role as a facilitator, helping people discover individual strengths while becoming accepting and respectful of vulnerabilities. Learning healthy ways to survive major life crises and/or chronic conditions is also a focus. I teach effective communication skills to increase understanding and respect for differences while enhancing growth in connection. If asked about my greatest asset as a therapist, it is my ability to "listen," and to provide a safe place for exploration and resolution.
