I am a psychoanalyst and couple therapist with over 14 years of experience. I specialize in relationship issues and men's health. I am a member of the teaching faculty of Training Institute for Mental Health, a psychoanalytic institute. I am the co-founder of the group practice, Manhattan Therapy and I am licensed in NY, NJ and Michigan. In addition to weekly therapy, I offer couple therapy intensive sessions that take place for several hours on weekends. Regarding issues in men's health, I specialize in out of control behaviors, struggles with self-esteem, and social class anxieties.
In couple therapy, I believe that the goal is to think creatively together, so a couple may co-construct a relationship that is satisfying to each person. This approach requires identifying each person’s individual perspective, holding each person’s needs as having equal importance, and locating the shared needs of the couple and family.
Together we will try to find language to describe your inner world. I work with your goals and we go at your pace. Part of what we will do in therapy is to discover the story you have told about yourself, and craft the story of your life ahead.
