My goal in counseling is to help you identify the thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that prevent you from achieving your goals. My approach is grounded in cognitive theory. I teach you strategies and interventions used in Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT). Cognitive Behavior Therapy is the most researched of all the psychotherapies and has demonstrated effectiveness. Additionally, I am a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor and can work with you on issues pertaining to employment and career. The sessions are interactive and collaborative. I will help you identify how your thinking impacts your emotional health and behavior.

I work with all age groups in individual, couples, and family therapy. I am trained in Functional Family Therapy which focuses on observing and breaking conflict cycles that are no longer serving you or your relationships. I am also trained as a Gottman level 2 therapist which I utilize in my couples work. My relational approach translates well for all ages and for a range of presenting concerns for treatment. My particular areas of specialty are working with adolescents, couples, and adult women. Modalities often used in my sessions include CBT, ARC, Attachment Theory, ACT, FFT, and Gottman Methods.

I'm a counselor and ADHD coach, specializing in the treatment of Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD/ADD) for adults and couples. I also help adults overcome the lingering effects of childhood trauma (a.k.a. developmental trauma). Most of my clients have both. I also have experience with Autism Spectrum Disorder, another commonly co-occurring condition. I do not work with children.
