The greatest lesson that I have received in my role as a healthcare professional is that most human suffering is rooted in emotional and cognitive difficulty. These challenges often stem from pain or trauma, typically early in our development. The mind is an organ like any other in the body; as such, it needs care and healing from time to time! Dr. Zipperman is a Board Certified Psychiatrist graduating from the University of Washington Psychiatry Residency and Loma Linda School of Medicine. Balanced Living Psychiatry is built on the understanding that happiness, peace of mind, and overall wellness is found at the intersection of healthy living, strong coping skills/ self-care, insight oriented therapy and psychiatric medications. Dr. Zipperman adopts the approach of integrative psychiatry, providing medication management and psychotherapy interventions but also building a team of providers for her patients including highly specialized psychotherapists, yoga/mindfulness/meditation teachers, Naturopathic Doctors, and the patient's own Primary Care Physicians.

I am doctorally prepared from the University of Washington and board certified Family Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP). Additionally, as a nurse of 30 years, my experience covers a broad spectrum of providing a multitude of services to individuals and families from all walks of life and economic backgrounds. As a board certified PMHNP, my practice will focus on providing services from the adolescent years throughout the life span.
