My interest in medicine can be traced back to my early childhood. I come from a family with several generations of physicians. My father, a pediatrician, had the greatest influence on me. What amazed me the most about him was the amount of care and genuine concern that he demonstrated for his patients, which in my mind are essential for an ideal physician. I received my bachelors degree from Columbia University, majoring in psychology. Vincent Van Gogh once said: "After all there is nothing in the world as interesting as people, and one can never study them enough."

Juliana Kanji is a warm and friendly doctor specializing in child, adolescent, adult and geriatric psychiatric care in Huntington, NY. She is fluent in both English and Hindi. Dr. Kanji achieved her doctorate degree from Khyber Medical College. She went on to complete her internship at Frankford Hospital and later her residency in psychiatry at Albany Medical Center Hospital. Dr. Kanji furthered her experience by completing a fellowship in forensic psychiatry followed by another fellowship in child and adolescent psychiatry Dr. Kanji currently serves her patients full-time within a private practice she started in 1995

Dr. Gaveras holds the position of Chief Psychiatrist at Talkiatry. She is board certified in child, adolescent and adult psychiatry as well as in addiction medicine and has been practicing for over 17 years. In addition to general and child and adolescent psychiatry, Dr. Gaveras is also board certified in addiction medicine and trained in the Eating Disorders, Compulsions and Addictions Service (EDCAS) at the William Alanson White Institute. While having treated a wide variety of patients, her primary clinical focus has been in the treatment of adolescents and young adults with co-occuring substance use disorders.

Marie Rommage, PMHNP-BC, FNP-BC is a dual Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and Family Nurse Practitioner with training and experience treating patients across the lifespan and across practice settings, from hospitals to assisted living facilities and patient’s homes. Marie graduated in 2011 with an accelerated Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Remington College of Nursing in Lake Mary Florida. She spent the early part of her nursing career working as a bedside nurse at Elmhurst Hospital in Queens, NY caring for a marginalized patient population.

Corinna Donner is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, with clinical experience treating individuals aged four years and older struggling with mental health diagnoses. Corinna believes in the importance of person-centered care, which includes individuality, rights, privacy, choice, independence, dignity, respect, and partnership. While serving in the military for twelve years, she witnessed fellow service members and their families struggling with mental health and not feeling comfortable seeking treatment.
