Dr. Underriner is a board certified Staff Psychiatrist at Talkiatry. He completed his residency at New York University. His approach to treatment is holistic, taking into account the entire person, and emphasizes the importance of the therapeutic bond to help people reduce suffering and achieve their goals. He works with people struggling with ADHD, depression, anxiety, and obsessive-compulsive and related disorders. Dr. Underriner has maintained an interest in teaching and remains connected to the psychiatry department at NYU. He has supervised and taught junior residents and medical students.

Dr. Ankur Upadhyay is a licensed Psychiatrist. He provides psychiatric care supported by evidence based medical practices, highlighted by his experience with mindfulness based therapies and psychoanalysis. His journey started in India where he gained knowledge in spirituality and the practice of mindful living. He has since completed his Psychiatry residency training at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai (Morningside-West Hospitals), and treated patients from diverse backgrounds. He has also completed training in the Intensive Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy program at William Alanson White Institute in NYC.

The innate desire to work with parents, and support them and their children is one the reasons for my passion for child/adolescent psychiatry. It is our mission at Unity Clinics to aid all children and adolescents struggling with emotional, and or behavioral concerns to overcome these challenges, and guide them and their families to a path of recovery, growth and success. When a child struggles, the whole family struggles, but there is support and guidance at Unity Clinics.
