Medication can provide wonderful relief for acute matters but only psychotherapy offers the possibility of fundamental change of life-long destructive patterns. With a combination of medication and therapy I have helped many patients to achieve a better life. Board certified in child as well as adult psychiatry, I am experienced in the treatment of conditions affecting children and adolescents, adults, and the geriatric population.
I am a Harvard-trained psychiatrist for children, adolescents and adults and am the Clinical Director of Brooklyn Minds Concierge Mental Health and deep TMS Center. I have a special interest in working with adolescents and young adults as this a time of utmost importance in establishing independence, meaning and direction. My approach is to be collaborative and curious in working with individuals and families to craft individualized and comprehensive treatment approaches. This may involve managing medications, providing individual, family or group therapy or a combination of these options. I am comfortable working with individuals with complex psychiatric backgrounds.
I am a board-certified Nurse Practitioner in Psychiatry trained at Columbia University with several years of clinical experience in a variety of settings. I specialize in providing insight-oriented psychotherapy and medication management for adults struggling with a range of emotional challenges seeking to live more fulfilling and purposeful lives.
My practice is oriented toward helping clients with depression, anxiety, ADHD and other issues identify and adhere to a treatment plan that meaningfully improves quality of life and helps them realize their goals and potential. My approach integrates your lived experience and symptoms with a broader view of how the environment you live and work in affects your well-being. This is a fundamentally collaborative practice - we will work together, in an open and non-judgemental way, to understand what is troubling you.
Provide comprehensive care of ages 13 and up tailoring to their specific needs and difficulties they are struggling with. I use a holistic approach to treatment. We utilize testing and bloodwork, with referrals to other providers to rule out any possible neurobiological cause of mental health issues. I also focus on diet, nutrition, stress, and any here and now issue you may be struggling with. Working together and most importantly listening to your problems, working together to develop a plan of treatment, help obtain a better quality of life and happiness. I am also a medical marijuana provider for chronic pain and PTSD sufferers.
Most of the patients who have worked with me over the years have a variety of different mental health issues. These include depression, anxiety and substance dependence. However, in psychiatry, there are many other mental health matters which need to be diagnosed and carefully treated. I feel very capable and prepared given my years of experience to work with patients who have these conditions as well.

I have expert knowledge of evaluation, medication treatment and psychotherapy. My approach is to listen carefully, understand your particular needs then tailor customized treatments. For those already in psychotherapy or not having that need, I am happy to provide medication treatment alone. I will monitor your responses to medication carefully so that you do not experience side effects and to see your gains are maximized. I practice an interpersonal form of psychotherapy. In this, interaction is encouraged rather than listening alone. I try to make myself available for your questions and return calls within a day. Appointments are available usually within one week.
