I completed my psychiatric residency at New York University and then did a fellowship in consultation-liaison psychiatry at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School. I remained on the faculty where I taught medical students, did research in clinical psychopharmacology, and had a faculty practice. I also completed an externship in cognitive behavioral therapy under the tutelage of Dr. Aaron Beck at the University of Pennsylvania. I have written many published articles and have lectured extensively in the area of clinical psychopharmacology.
