Kacy enjoys helping patients achieve the best possible outcome in their mental health care to promote healing and enhance quality of life through medication management and other lifestyle modifications.

I am a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I believe in providing a holistic approach in the treatment of mental health concerns by utilizing a combination of medication management and brief psychotherapy. I specialize in the treatment of adults and adolescents with various mental health disorders. I am committed to fostering an environment of empathy, support, and mutual respect to promote the recovery and personal development of my clients. Cheri (she, her, hers) is fervent about and has garnered her skills in providing whole person, quality, compassionate, and comprehensive mental health services to adults who are dealing with real-life concerns including anxiety, depression, mood, sleep, trauma and those dealing with self-sabotaging behaviors. Cheri possesses strong clinical skills heightened by her natural capacity to build healing connections with patients and families. She follows evidence-based guidelines melded with clinical expertise, personal observation, and intuition. She is dedicated to an integrative practice.

I am a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who firmly believes that mental health is just as crucial as physical health, recognizing that nurturing our minds is vital for overall well-being. I have provided supportive, non-judgmental, and therapeutic mental health care to children, adolescents, and adults in inpatient settings as a nurse for many years. My experience has enhanced my cultural competence, proficiency in crisis management, and my ability to educate and encourage patients effectively.

As a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner I believe it's important to get to know you as an individual first. I am passionate about listening to you and working together with you to develop a plan that will best suit you. My initial evaluations are 60 minutes and follow ups are 30 minutes. I have over 5 years of mental health experience and over a decade of experience in the healthcare field. I have taken care of children, adolescents, adults and geriatric clients in acute crisis care who have various mental illness.

Melissa has extensive nursing experience working with teenagers and adults in strengthening self-compassion and mental health. I have been providing medical care for over 20 years. My experience is extensive beginning with hospital Emergency room, Surgical and Medical as well as Cancer patients. My love for people and learning motivated me to continue my education and I hold several certifications. Many years of my career has been caring for Women in all phases of life. Through active listening and thoughtful questioning I deliver individualized and high quality care. My goal is to help you to feel safe and comfortable, even when life is difficult to understand.

Dr. Nancy Handler, founder of Mind and Mood Mental Health, LLC, is a board certified psychiatrist who graduated medical school from the University of Nebraska Medical Center and completed residency at the University of Oklahoma. Dr. Handler has completed additional training in management of women's mental health through Mass General Hospital. She specializes in the diagnosis and management of various mental health disorders including depression, anxiety, ADHD, and mood disorders.

Peter is a Board Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), he graduated with a Master’s in the Science of Nursing from the University of Nebraska Medical Center and has been honing his skills and refining his approach ever since. Prior to becoming a PMHNP, Peter was an inpatient psychiatric nurse for 6 years. Peter’s expertise is providing psychiatric treatment to adult populations (between 19 and 70). He maintains a straightforward and no-nonsense approach to psychiatric mental health care. His goal is to find simple and healthy strategies that allow his clients to be in charge of their mental health.

I am a psychiatric Nurse Practitioner who has been serving Nebraska since 2022. Born and raised in Nebraska, I am glad to have returned to my home state after completing my education. I strongly believe that the best way to treat patients is to act as a partner and member of the team committed to each patients health and wellness. I always try to offer patients choices for medications and treatments based on my knowledge and expertise while also considering input from each patient regarding what is important to them so we can make treatment decisions together.

I Provide comprehensive whole person centered care with an emphasis on shared decision making and extensive education around diagnoses and treatment. I see clients of all ages and can provide research based effective treatment for any type of mental illness.Shared decision making means that you and I will discuss and decide all aspects of your care together as a team. We will discuss the symptoms/difficulties you present with and decide together if a diagnoses fits those symptoms.

Accepting new patients! I offer in person and telehealth visits and I am fully licensed in Iowa and Nebraska. My mission is to provide affordable, holistic, compassionate and comprehensive care. Now accepting many insurance plans; I also offer sliding scale option for self-pay. I take a Holistic approach, which may include referrals for therapy, nutritional counseling, ruling out environmental and medical problems that may cause symptoms, genetic testing when needed, and medications to target symptoms.
