I usually see patients relatively short term. I'm 76 and not sure how long I will keep practicing. Many patients can get medications prescribed by their PCP after having a consultation with a psychiatrist, and I am happy to consult with your PCP.. I bill most insurances, so if after a consultation with me you cannot find an affordable psychiatrist or NP, we could start treatment quickly. If it looks like someone is going to need long term psychiatric care I will work with you to find a provider for that. On the other hand I like seeing patients in groups, and may start groups for patients who prefer to get their medications from me.
