As a Neurodivergent South Asian immigrant, I intimately understand the struggles of finding a therapist who will understand having a complex cultural background. Along with this, I have years of practice helping those with disordered eating problems, grief and bereavement, and those struggling with anxiety, depression, or the troubles that come with drastic life changes. I've successfully worked with 16 year-olds and 60 year-olds, and everyone in between. All of the above is to say that if there is something in your life that is upsetting you, I sincerely believe I have the tools to help you overcome it!
My personal therapy style is an mix of interventions from different methods, but above all it is to collaborate with my client to make them feel comfortable and empowered with whatever we choose to use. I use compassion, respect and humor to engage my clients and help them reach their personal goals.
Having had the unique perspective of being both the client and the counselor, and I understand the stigma that comes with reaching out for help.
