I am certified DBT, Brainspotting and Gottman practitioner.
My passion is supporting individuals, and couples through life transitions. Moving into a new stage of life can bring excitement, anxiety and uncertainty. Support through these transitions can make them more manageable by equipping you with the communication and coping strategies you may need. Whether it be a career change, new relationship, welcoming a new baby, or the difficult decision to decouple. You do not need to navigate these transitions alone. I also have a specialization in providing therapy for postpartum/perinatal mental health, fertility/infertility treatment, and/or pregnancy loss.

Psychotherapist (CRPO) and Master Coach (ICF) I offer relationship recovery therapy including Attachment, Brainspotting, IFS, Somatics for individuals & couples.
CONfused, DRAINED, or ALONE in your relationships? Putting the needs of others before your own? Are you changing yourself (like a chameleon) to feel appreciated? If the other person becomes your main focus and you modify your behaviors and subjugate your needs to keep the relationship going at any cost, you have codependency. Codependent people are MAGNETS for Arrogant, Narcissistic personalities. These relationships can stumble along for a long time, requiring huge amounts of effort and energy to sustain until they finally fall apart. When they do, you feel betrayed and abandoned (codependent's biggest fear).

Hello! If you’re looking for compassionate support and therapeutic tools to help you deal with thoughts, behaviours, sensations and/or emotions, I may be able to help! I offer psychotherapy services to youth and adults, using various evidence-based techniques which target the mind, body, and their inherent connection. Therapy can be a great place to examine your current ways of being and coping, reflecting on what no longer serves you to learn more adaptive strategies.

You’ve worked hard to get where you are and the people around you would say you have a great life. Yet, you often feel overwhelmed, stressed and sometimes downright exhausted. You find yourself getting easily irritated with your partner and kids. Things have been feeling really challenging for a while but you’re not quite sure how to get them on track. You are busy taking care of everything and everyone else, and you keep putting yourself last on the list. For you, this has gone on long enough. You are ready for a change but don’t know where to start.

I have an eclectic approach that includes Brainspotting in additional to talk therapy.
I currently have space virtually and Tues/Wed evenings. I work with children, youth, adults and couples in a variety of areas. As part of a blended family, I have a special interest in the experience of step-parenting and the often challenging dynamics. In my work with children I work closely with parents to integrate an understanding of developmentally appropriate practices at home. I enjoy supporting couples to find new ways to communicate and understand one another, and to break the unhelpful patterns we all tend to fall into.

Waitlist for new clients
Hello and welcome. I am a Registered Psychotherapist who practices psychotherapy with an integrative, trauma-informed approach. I draw on attachment theory, emotion focused therapy, psychodynamic principles, neuroscience, and others to work with each client individually. My intention as a therapist is to address more than just symptom reduction; through the exploration of deep issues and concerns we can work together to encourage long-term change. Using somatic (body-based) approaches and the therapeutic technique of Brainspotting, I work with clients to reset the nervous system and tap into the brain's inherent ability to heal.

I use a combination of different somatic psychotherapy approaches, including mindfulness (MiCBT), hypnotherapy, Deep Brain Reorienting (DBR) and Brainspotting.
Wait list only at this time. Are you looking to get a deeper understanding and heal from the various difficulties you are experiencing? Psychotherapy that involves the mind-body connection can help with this. It can release any accumulated stress or blockages that might be affecting your physical, mental, emotional and spiritual well-being. This can help you reconnect with your self in many ways and better understand your emotions, needs and wants. I also provide psychotherapy for psychedelic integration to those who had psychedelic treatments and wish to make sense of and integrate their experiences.

Utilizing a varied of modals including Brainspotting, CBT, DBT, and 'Walk and Talk', I hope to create a warm, welcoming place for child, teens and adults to share their struggles.
Finding the right therapist can make all the difference. Do you feel stuck in a situation where it is hard to see the light? Whether it’s events or patterns from your past, or your present, you may feel frustration or shame at not being able to change. Or as a parent/caregiver you might feel helpless as you watch your child struggle with anxiety or behaviour. And often a child in crisis can impact the dynamics of the entire family, making everyone feel off-balance and confused. Let's work together to help you start to bend towards the light, to feel the hope that comes with the support to create healthy, sustainable changes.

I’m currently an intermediate student of Somatic Experiencing, and have also participated in training in Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS) as well as Brainspotting.
In my practice, I work to build on the client’s natural resiliency, and aim to support them on their healing journey by meeting each person where they are at. Primarily, I work with clients who have dealt with various different traumas by using somatic therapy. I also support clients who are experiencing stress and burnout, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, and those who are navigating life transitions as well as living with ADHD.

I use trauma-informed practices including EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) and Brainspotting to target deeper, more meaningful healing so that you can both know and feel your enoughness.
Childhood Sexual Abuse & Trauma Therapy - I help intra-familial childhood sexual abuse survivors own their enoughness. Painful past experiences, such as trauma, shape the way we show up and navigate through our present day lives and the world around us. Without deep healing of these experiences and traumas, we can feel stuck; like nothing is working. It feels hopeless. You likely landed here because it’s all gotten to be too much - I see you and I am so glad you're here. I provide a warm space to explore present day anxieties and get you past that feeling of stuckness. Let's rebuild your mind-body connection.

Brainspotting Counsellors

How does brainspotting work?

Brainspotting works by using eye positioning to identify and process traumatic memories so that a client is better able to move forward and live with less fear. The theory behind brainspotting is that by identifying where a person looks when thinking of traumatic memories, a therapist will be able to guide them to focus on that spot and work with the client to get them out of the “fight, flight, freeze” response associated with the traumatic memory.

Is brainspotting an evidence-based therapy?

Brainspotting is a theory-based alternative therapy. It is one of the newest forms of treatment, so very little research has been completed that examines the mechanism by which it works. The theory behind brainspotting is that eye position can be linked to areas of the brain that store and process memory.

How effective is brainspotting?

Because it is such a new treatment, the effectiveness of brainspotting cannot be quantified. Some people have found it to be effective on its own, or in conjunction with other types of therapy. It is considered an alternative therapy, and it is popular with people for whom more traditional therapies have proven ineffective.

How long does brainspotting take to work?

A typical brainspotting session will last between 60 to 90 minutes. There is no required number of sessions needed to complete brainspotting therapy, but in many cases it is delivered over the course of about six sessions. Clients are encouraged to rate their level of distress prior to a session and again following a session, and to track progress.
