Online Counselling for North Vancouver

I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor and a certified EMDR therapist with the British Columbia School of Professional Psychology. My cultural background affords me a unique insight into immigrants and second-generation issues. My trauma service approach provides a safe space to address concerns such as anxiety, depression, self-esteem, and grief. I have extensive experience working with Family System Theory and Interpersonal Relationships Conflict to provide a non-judgmental, confidential space to strengthen relationships with your family. As a workshop facilitator, I work with all aspects of mental, emotional and social values.

I am passionate about working with clients who have experienced traumatic events or adverse childhood experience. My clients often feel high levels of trauma related symptoms, anxiety or depression and they want relief from their negative emotions, flashbacks or nightmares. They need a safe relationship through which they get unconditional support and guidance towards their mental health goals. I also specialize in working with women who have experienced various adverse experiences including physical violence, emotional abuse or sexual assault.

I aim to bring an authentic, intuitive and transparent approach to counselling. My goal as a therapist is to collaborate with clients in safely reconnecting to themselves through intention, curiosity, creativity and compassionately challenging them. I believe that clients already have a reservoir of resources within them, and my role is to help them access it. A role I believe is my purpose and feel fortunate to pursue that every day.

We believe counselling is about being open and willing about exploring that which is negatively impacting your life. Facing challenges and difficulties takes courage and a belief that something could be different and even, perhaps, better. I aim to create a warm and welcoming space. Here, you are invited to explore your current situation with a focus on how to create a brighter tomorrow. We believe each person has a sense of what is helpful. Personalizing each session, we collaboratively create a plan to move you through this challenge and to a tomorrow with greater freedom. We offer reduced rate counselling with our MACP candidate.
