I started counselling with two goals in mind: To help others improve their quality of life and help them become the best version of themself they can be. Having lived experience, I know firsthand what people are going through. I want to be one less professional someone goes to for help and leaves feeling stigmatized, unheard, or worse. I work with a trauma-informed approach and see my clients as individuals who are trying to cope with problems in their life and feel like they can’t without the use of alcohol or drugs. I’ve seen how recovery can create new beginnings and give people the life they want and deserve for themselves.
My career brings years of Individual & Group Counselling and Case Management work. I'm skilled in Abstinence, Harm Reduction, & MATS based models. This, combined with my personal interest in spirituality, philosophy, and finding meaning in life helps me assist my clients with focusing on their needs and strengths, and achieving their goals through recovery.
