As an outpatient mental health clinic, we provide various forms of treatment, including therapy and medication management, to help patients manage and cope with mental health issues. Therapy is a common form of treatment that can come in different formats such as individual therapy, group therapy, or family therapy. These sessions are led by mental health professionals such as psychologists, licensed counselors, and social workers, who can help patients work through their issues and develop coping skills and strategies. In addition to therapy, medication management is another important service we provide that involves prescribing and monitoring medication to treat various mental health conditions, such as depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia. Medication management is often conducted by our psychiatric nurse practitioner who work closely with patients to monitor their symptoms and adjust medication as needed.

My name is Ahaoma Nnebedum, a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. I graduated from Walden University's Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Master’s degree program, and currently enrolled in Brandman's university DNP program with an anticipated completion date of May 2021. I practice both in an in-patient and out-patient setting treating patients with varying psychiatric diagnosis which include- schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, mood disorders, anxiety disorders, substance use disorder, PTSD and other behavioral problems.

MeadowWood Behavioral Health Hospital, located in New Castle, Delaware, is an inpatient treatment center serving individuals who are struggling with addictions and mental health disorders. Our adult inpatient treatment programs are designed to provide a full continuum of care for adults who have emotional, behavioral, and substance use concerns. We offer inpatient treatment for adults age 18 and older, seniors age 55 and older, and individuals who need to detox from addictive substances. We help people who have addictions to substances such as alcohol, benzodiazepines, methamphetamines, prescription drugs, and opioids. We also treat adults who need acute treatment for depression, bipolar disorder, schizoaffective disorder, and schizophrenia. Located in Stockbridge, MA, with a national referral base, the Austen Riggs Center is an open and voluntary hospital-based continuum of care for adults (18+) with complex psychiatric problems. We offer a range of interventions within an integrated psychodynamic framework. An emphasis is placed on patient authority and responsibility while examining the meaning behind behaviors and how behaviors impact relationships. We treat the individual, not just the diagnosis. Patients come to us with multiple diagnoses, but we understand that these labels do not necessarily capture the essence of their struggles or strengths.
