Newport Academy’s Virginia location offers treatment for girls between the ages of 12-17. Our integrated approach treats the trauma and attachment wounds underlying teen mental health and behavioral issues, such as anxiety, depression, & eating disorders. We address these root causes through comprehensive, solution-focused treatment that involves the entire family in the healing process. To support our teens and their families in achieving long-term, sustainable healing, our clinical model takes into account every aspect of a teen’s well-being—physical, psychological, relational, educational, and spiritual—so they can thrive when they return home to their families, schools, and communities. Moreover, we are committed to ongoing research on the efficacy of our treatment. To ensure that our care is truly evidence-based, we track a variety of treatment goals and commission rigorous third-party evaluations of our programming. Data gathered on our outcomes using industry-approved measurement tools shows consistent positive results in measures of well-being, depression, and anxiety, with patients’ improvements, on average, exceeding levels of clinical significance.

The clinicians at The Counseling Center of Group use an array of techniques to help enhance the quality of life for individuals, couples, groups, and families. Through our strength-based and collaborative approach, we offer new insights that enable our clients to see things from different perspectives. We provide treatment and counseling for anxiety, depression, grief, emotional regulation issues, self-esteem, relationship concerns, and parenting. The Counseling Center Group utilized evidence based strategies to help empower our clients to make choices that generate positive changes in their lives. Together, we will look at feelings, thoughts and behaviors as vehicles to affirmative changes. Our clinicians use techniques from empirically proven interventions including dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), Gottman therapy, cyclical psychodynamics, cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), Mindfulness and others.

We believe that those struggling with addiction have a better chance at lasting sobriety when they can heal in a comforting environment. This is why we strive to create a restorative setting while providing exceptional addiction treatment. We have a sparkling swimming pool, plenty of outdoor space for group sessions, a fully customized menu, comfortable rooms with flat-screen TVs and game consoles, recreation rooms, and more. Our residential centers are also separated by gender, and residents have their own separate bathrooms. And for the most effective treatment, we always keep our counselor-to-patient ratio 1:12.

The Renfrew Center has been the pioneer in the treatment of eating disorders since 1985. As the nation's first residential eating disorder facility, now with 19 locations throughout the country, Renfrew has helped more than 85,000 adolescent girls and women with eating disorders move towards recovery. Renfrew provides women suffering from anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, binge eating disorder, and related mental health problems with the tools they need to succeed in recovery and in life. Renfrew's extensive range of services includes residential, day treatment, intensive outpatient, and outpatient programs. Each treatment level is built upon The Renfrew Center Unified Treatment Model for Eating Disorders®, an evidence-based, emotion-focused therapy that addresses eating disorders and co-morbid symptoms. Within this model, individual and group therapy are enhanced with a diverse array of services to meet patients' needs. Renfrew accepts most major insurances and is a preferred provider for all levels of treatment.

WestBridge is a family founded non-profit organization that provides integrated treatment for adults with mental illness, with or without co-occurring substance use. Located in Manchester, NH we provide Residential Treatment and a Community Integration Program (CIP) for men, and an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for all genders. Our residential program is CARF accredited (since 2010) and licensed by the State of NH Department of Health and Human Services for mental illness and substance use treatment. We are participant and family-centric with an emphasis on community, and evidence-based practices. Our outcomes for men with co-occurring disorders are published in an international professional journal, accessible online at www.westbridge.org/white-paper-and-publications/. We are in-network with multiple commercial insurance companies and provide treatment for Veterans through an agreement with Optum. Most families pay for treatment through a combination of commercial insurance and self-pay. We are unable to accept Medicare or Medicaid.
