I am trained in EMDR, hypnosis, and family constellation to help alleviate the symptoms of trauma that manifest physically. In our treatments you will have options to learn yoga, mindfulness, and qi-gong. You can also choose to incorporate acupuncture, a modality that regulates the vagus nerve, and relaxes the parasympathetic nervous system, so you don't always have to "talk" about it. I am, first and foremost, a highly trained Christian Therapist. I love to work with couples, individuals and families helping to put an anchor back into their lives. Early in life we learn to disconnect from our bodies and emotions in order to survive and adapt to the environment. Overtime, this manifests as patterns of behavior and self-rejection that though were once adaptive, now only keep us stuck. These patterns typically manifest as anxiety, depression, self-hatred, toxic shame, addictions, obsessions, compulsions, codependency and relationship problems. I work experientially in the moment to get to the root of what is getting in the way of desired experiences on an identity level. Many clients describe this process as a gradual “coming home” or reconnection to their authentic self.
