I practice from a patient and caring stance that allows me to understand who you are and gives you the room to come to know all of yourself. I believe that our therapeutic relationship can bring about a space of safety and challenge, exploration and reflection. My aim is that you will find yourself authentic in relationships, will feel relief from the burden of difficult feelings, and will live a rich life full of meaning. Humor, spontaneity, and playfulness are serious business here, too. I believe that growth comes as much from our play as from our reflection.
My grounding in relational psychodynamic theory and technique informs how I listen to you and understand your life story. I tailor therapy to meet the needs of each person, of all backgrounds and identities, through a collaborative, integrative approach, drawing on techniques from other therapies such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
I help people who are facing challenges such as depression and anxiety, trauma, relationship issues, masculinity issues, and major life transitions including the transition through young adulthood or into parenthood. As a group therapist, I work with individuals who want to discover how they relate to others and who seek feelings of connection and belonging.
