Meagan uses a family system approach, which allows for the entire family to benefit and heal from the therapeutic process. Together we will create a plan that best suits your family’s needs. Meagan’s focus is working with children from hard places; children who have experienced traumas, adopted children, foster children, and children from divorced families. These can include but are not limited to those who struggle with self-regulation, behavior responses, anxiety, and meltdowns.

We see children 2 and up, teens, and adults. Through integrating our faith and clinical training, we offer biblically sound and psychologically skilled approaches to life’s struggles. Meeting clients where they are, we walk alongside in order to hear and help in a way that brings about lasting change. Our doors are open to clients from all religious, ethnic, and cultural backgrounds. We meet in person and virtually.

I always like to say God gave me children early in my adult life because I was meant to help children in their own life struggles. I fully believe that God has plans for us even if we do not fully understand them! When our children face struggles that we cannot understand or feel equipped to help them with, we can feel lost and overwhelmed. Children and adolescents are often placed in situation and have experiences that are out of their control.

I have provided mental health services for 11 years and my clients have ranged from ages 3-90 years old. It is my joy to work with individuals of any age whose challenges may range from clinical diagnosis to daily life stressors. I believe in change and in the possibility of modifying habits. Individual counseling and couple's counseling are some of the services provided.

I work with adolescents, adults, couples, and families. We all have what it takes inside to make it over life's hurdles. But sometimes we need a helping hand. I specialize in treating symptoms of trauma, anxiety, and depression in children, adolescents, and adults. I am also trained to assist parents deal with behavioral problems such as acting out, disrespect, hyperactivity/attention-deficits, lack of focus/motivation, and non-compliance. My approach is very strengths-based and person-centered with a strong emphasis on adjusting the environment for optimal mental health and family functioning. My practice is on the southwest side near the intersection of Houston / Sugar Land / Stafford / Missouri City.
