I work with those who struggle with anger. Often times the anger is brought on by unmet expectations and merely a symptom of deeper issues under the surface. It's my job to metaphorically stand in a place you can not see, and point you in the right direction as to the cause of what is contributing to the anger. By doing so, you can receive insight that will enrich your life and change it for the better.

Therapy offers an opportunity for discovery, self-reflection, and ultimately transformation. I approach the therapeutic process with curiosity, genuineness, and compassion. Theoretically speaking, I draw from cognitive-behavioral and existential perspectives to help conceptualize your life journey and challenges. My overall style is warm and direct while honoring and recognizing the expertise you bring on your life to the counseling process.

Helping people learn to manage and cope with emotions like, fear, frustration, sadness and worry is my specialty. Self defeating behavioral patterns that involve anger, phobias, procrastination, or poor impulse control can also be addressed. I assists individuals and couples by providing skills-based counseling so they can live life more peacefully and productively.

I am a queer trans-identified licensed professional therapist practicing clinical psychotherapy for over 16 years. My practice is based out of Portland, OR and Seattle, WA. I specialize in working with queer, non-binary, poly populations. I received my master's degree in Psychology at Antioch University Seattle in 2008 and have been working consistently as a therapist ever since. I have extensive experience and work with counseling individuals and couples in a wide variety settings such as primary health care clinics, urban and rural tribal health care, community mental health treatment centers, and major healthcare facilities.
