About
Life can be challenging. Sometimes we need a little extra support and someone to listen. Finding a new counselor can be challenging. I consider it a privilege and honor to provide a safe space for you to share your story, when you are ready. Children need a safe place to learn about emotions, express their emotions and share their stories. Just like adults, little kids have big emotions too! While I see individuals through all developmental stages and with many different mental health disorders, my special areas of interest include anxiety, depression, perinatal mood disorders and eating disorders.
I love watching young minds grow and learn through play and art in therapy. Children naturally explore their worlds around them through these medias and I use a similar approach in sessions. I use an integrative approach to counseling which often includes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Person-Centered Therapy.
Congratulations! You are doing the tough part of reaching out and finding support. My goal is to support you and help you find your strength again. Continuing the journey of self-awareness can be a challenging one and if you feel like we would be a good fit, I hope you will reach out. I would love to be a part of that journey for you!
