When a person is faced with life stressors, it can be hard to know how to "act" or "present themselves." An ideal client is one who recognizes that something is not right and takes the first step in seeking help. That is the most difficult part. They recognize the way they are feeling is not how they want or need to feel. It takes courage to ask for help and I understand the process of finding a therapist can be overwhelming. My goal as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker is to communicate and build rapport with children, adults, and families so they can function, participate and develop in their environments. My approach is a combination of cognitive-behavioral theory, solution focused, TF-CBT, EMDR, and motivational interviewing that is tailored to meet your specific needs.
My counseling style is interactive, warm, and client paced with the goal of providing a safe place where clients feel they can discuss their problems without judgment. Life can be overwhelming, scary, and difficult. I will be here to support you every step of the way, and assist you in overcoming any obstacles you face.
