I am a passionate advocate for the LGBT community and any issues related to coming out, processing trauma, LGBT domestic violence as well as military issues whether that be transitioning back into civilian lifestyle or coping with PTSD and the symptoms related. Together we can look at ways to improve daily life and achieve short term and long term personal goals. Specialties include Anxiety Disorders, PTSD and related disorders, Mood Disorders, and adjustment to new challenges.

The goal of every client who comes to treatment is to resolve the existing crisis or trauma, manage anxiety, reduce depressive and other symptoms, and return to a state of being that better reflects their optimal functioning. Clients who come to therapy are arguably the best suited to tell us what their needs are and where the gap exists between their needs and goals for their best life. Living with grief, loss, anxiety, PTSD, psych ache, relationship distress, trauma (including racial trauma), rejection, and mood disorders takes a toll, not only on everyday functioning but also on self-esteem, self-efficacy and self-care.

I use a combination of mindfulness and existentialism in order to empower clients to take an active role in treatment and be proactive in the therapy process. My role is to guide clients to discover meaning and freedom in their life. Helping clients build self-awareness, acceptance, and motivation to create a purposeful life brings me great joy. I work with adults struggling with mood disorders, anxiety, OCD, personality disorders and LGBTQ+ related issues. Marital/relationship counseling to overcome obstacles or to improve the quality of relationship with compassion is also offered.

I provide a non-judgmental and caring space for you to express your life's challenges and concerns. As you are immersed in the struggles of life you are affected emotionally, mentally, and, physically, and it is difficult to see all the options available to you.
