Over the last fifteen years, my goal is to help others embrace life’s journeys and promote wellness. I have worked both in the public and private sectors with a broad spectrum of clients. I provide therapy services to clients of all ages, from children through geriatric, in addition to couples and families. I am a bilingual psychotherapist who provides treatment in both English and Spanish. I have experience in treating a wide variety of psychological disorders. I have worked with clients who are dually diagnosed with mental health and substance use disorders, PTSD/trauma, domestic violence victims, depression, anxiety and more.

Paul is a licensed Clinical Social Worker who completed his Masters of Social Work at Virginia Commonwealth University; he also has a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Guitar from Virginia Commonwealth University. He draws on mindfulness techniques and the Bonny Method of Guided Imagery and Music in addition to more traditional talk therapy methods to offer several different avenues for healing to teens, adults, and families. Paul has studied meditation with Pat Buxton and is a certified Reiki master under Barb Davis.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and have 20 years of counseling experience working with mental heath disorders, eating disorders, and couple therapy. I take an emotion focused and Jungian approach that allows for depth therapy. Mind-body (psychosomatic) dysregulation is challenging and complex and primarily associated with difficult emotions (e.g., anxiety, panic, depression, anger, guilt, etc.), relational difficulties (e.g., social isolation), and self-esteem concerns. Through rigorous clinical observation, I designed Analytical Health Psychotherapy (AHP), an insight-oriented approach to Health Psychology in which the therapeutic relationship will contain complex emotions while we analyze, tolerate, and understand the unconscious roots of the physical symptoms. Hence, the physical symptoms will diminish while you gain insight into their functions.
