Hi! I first want to welcome you to my practice and congratulate you on your courage! As a therapist, my goal is to provide a space for you to be authentically who you are without judgment. I provide support during the hard times, ask tough questions when necessary, and work with you to find practical solutions to your challenges. I aim to forge a deep and trusting relationship so that you feel comfortable discussing your most protected thoughts and feelings. There are no quick fixes, but developing the life skills, improving self-respect, and connecting deeply with loved ones are key in building wholeness in mind, body, and spirit!

Feeling overwhelmed by the search for the right therapist? Life can get tough, and finding a counselor shouldn't add more stress. So, your relationship is not how you imagined it to be. You're disconnected and misunderstood. You thought putting in more work would help, but you’ve tried that, and it doesn’t seem to work. You keep thinking, “Do I stay or leave?” You can’t seem to decide because there used to be some really good days, and you hope there can be more. That’s the hope that keeps you. It just feels exhausting, and you don’t know if you want to do this anymore.

The best way to reach me is through email. I believe that when you meet me you will notice that I try to be calm, patient, empathetic, and encouraging while adding in a little humor along the way. You can expect to take away a feeling of being heard without judgment, while also creating some goals that you want to work on to start the healing process.

By now you have probably read so many profiles your head is spinning and your eyes are bleary.. Finding the perfect therapist is an impossible ideal. The goal should be to find someone who has enough clinical and life experience, enough training, and someone who is interested in really listening to you to help you get unstuck from where you are now. Just as there is no ideal therapist, there is no ideal patient. We are all wounded in some way, some more, some less. Whatever problems or symptoms are getting in your way, in addition to finding relief for them, developing self understanding goes a long way and lasts a lifetime.

I believe that the therapeutic relationship is an important key to success in therapy. Much of my passion and practice has focused on individuals with mood and emotional regulation issues, depression, anxiety, trauma, and racial identity issues. I often find that many of our adult issues come from unresolved childhood situations. I like to understand this with my clients and provide a space for exploration, coping and healing. I also have a passion for assisting my clients in developing the necessary skills and tools to deal with many of life's challenges.
