I received my MA in Clinical Psychology from SHSU in 1987 and am a Licensed Professional Counselor and an LSOTP. I began my career within the Texas prisons, working in the psychiatric unit. I then worked as a psychotherapist at West Oaks Psychiatric Hospital and Willowbrook Psychological Assoc. In late 1989, I returned to criminal justice arena working with sexual predators and was the first director for the SO treatment program within TDCJ. I now have a private practice, of 30 years, treating a variety of issues including anger management, anxiety, grief counseling, PTSD, secondary trauma, and female hormonal issues.

I believe successful therapy depends on clients honestly sharing their experiences and behavior. Yet many clients struggle to articulate their feelings, sharing these feelings with a stranger, even a therapist, can be difficult. It takes time for a therapist to earn a client’s trust. My goal is to build a therapeutic relationship with you to enhance a safer and supportive therapeutic environment.
