Do you ever feel overwhelmed, anxious, or stuck in familiar patterns—knowing something isn’t working, but not quite sure how to change it?
Much of my work is about helping individuals slow down, make sense of what’s happening inside, and reconnect with themselves. My goal is to help you understand yourself on a deeper level—not just manage symptoms, but explore why certain patterns exist and how past experiences continue to shape the present.

I may use multiple modalities in one session, or we may spend sessions practicing skills ( DBT), challenging thoughts (CBT), or focusing on the body (somatic).
My therapeutic style is grounded in helping people understand how their patterns formed, and why they tend to repeat patterns even when they’re no longer helpful. I believe insight is not just awareness, but a skill that can be taught, practiced, and strengthened. I am deeply passionate about teaching. Much of my work focuses on psychoeducation: helping clients make sense of their internal experiences in clear, practical ways so change feels attainable rather than overwhelming. When people understand the “why” behind their reactions, they gain more choice in how they respond.

I became a therapist because I know how hard it can be to sit with uncertainty, fear, or pain — and how much courage it takes to face it. Therapy, to me, is about helping you understand yourself in a way that feels honest and freeing. My style is collaborative. I’ll meet you where you are, but I’ll also gently challenge you when you need it. Together, we’ll figure out what’s behind the patterns that keep showing up — and how to move toward something that actually feels like peace.

“What is essential is invisible to the eye.” - The Little Prince.
I’ve always loved this quote because it captures something I see every day in therapy: the most important parts of who we are often live beneath the surface. Our emotions, memories, values, and the quiet stories we carry don’t always show up right away but they shape how we move through the world.
I do not believe therapy is about becoming someone completely new. More often, it is about coming home to yourself growing into who you have been all along, with more clarity, compassion, and freedom.

Maybe you have read the books, listened to the podcasts, saved the Instagram posts, and still feel stuck in the same patterns. I work well with adults who are healing from trauma, anxiety, codependency, and relationship wounds. I also enjoy working with people who are brand new to therapy and want a space that feels calm, practical, and not intimidating.

Therapy is all about healing. Healing from the past, old wounds, thoughts or feelings that aren't serving you anymore. So often, we have learned various ways of living to get through the days, to cope, but it's surviving and not truly living. For most, facing those things seems scary and that fear keeps them from living the life they want. I see my role as a therapist is to foster a space of safety so healing can occur. Through compassion, honesty, and ultimately connection, I work with my clients to help them move towards their best selves.

Dialectical Behavior (DBT) Therapists
Who is DBT for?
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is designed for people who experience extreme emotional suffering because they lack the skills of emotion regulation and distress tolerance. The basic affliction can underlie a wide range of conditions, from borderline and other personality disorders to PTSD and treatment-resistant anxiety and depression. The therapy is helpful to those whose emotional reactivity is so intense it is disruptive to everyday functioning and leads to frequent crises.
Why do people need DBT?
The ability to regulate emotions is a core psychological skill that enables people to function in life and pay attention to the world outside themselves; it is consistently associated with well-being. DBT is designed to help people learn how to manage and regulate their emotions. Originally developed to treat people with borderline personality disorder whose extreme emotional suffering led to self-harming behavior and suicide attempts, the therapy is now applied to other conditions involving emotion dysregulation, particularly when other treatments have failed.
What happens in DBT?
Individuals meet weekly with their therapist to discuss their experiences relating to moods, behavior, and skills. Using checklists they maintain, they review emotional experiences and positive practices they engage in. The diaries help individuals discern what led up to a specific problem encountered, this is followed by discussion of the consequences of their actions. In addition, individuals may meet in class-like small groups to learn skills such as mindfulness, emotion regulation and distress tolerance.
How long does DBT last?
Because it is intended to establish long-lasting behavioral change among those with persistent problems, DBT is designed to last six months to a year. DBT includes both weekly sessions of individual therapy and weekly skills-training sessions conducted in small groups. Studies of DBT have documented improvement within a year of treatment, particularly in controlling self-harmful behavior; nevertheless, individuals may require therapy for several years.
