Hello. My name is Tay-Lor Smith. I am a licensed professional counselor in the state of Virginia and am a certified clinical trauma professional. I provide individual counseling for children and adults. I have worked in the counseling profession for seven years in public and private sectors. I practice from an integrated approach, using cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution-focused brief therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and trauma-informed care. My areas of interest are mood disorders, adjustment disorders and concerns, personality disorders, stress and stress management, and relationship issues.
I provide tele-mental health services which gives the client the three C’s: confidentiality, convenience, and comfort in one setting. My approach to therapy is to serve as a guide to my clients by assisting them in processing and addressing life’s problems. I am a believer in curating individualized solutions to increase growth and mental health wellness.
