Thank you for considering my services by reading this profile; I appreciate it! Counseling is an "encore career" for me, having concluded an extraordinary career in Human Resources, both domestically and internationally. However, counseling has always been a passion of mine, and I am very enthusiastic about my new career. I have been a counselor for 3 years and enjoy a very interactive relationship with my clients. My approach to therapy is warm, collaborative, and goal oriented. Since I am a visual learner and many of my clients are as well, I routinely utilize a whiteboard so that we can list problems and develop solutions.
My approach to therapy is to consider that insights and breakthroughs resonate and become sustainable when clients get there on there own. I use my skills and experience to help you get there. Through CBT, Mindfulness, Talk Therapy, and Trauma-focused therapy, as part of my toolbox, I enable clients to formulate solutions on what is already known.
I strive to creatively integrate all these modalities in the treatment of most types of mental health disorders. I work with, adolescents, adults, couples, and seniors, and have helped many clients with self-discovery, adjusting to life transitions, gender and LGBTQ issues, and difficult mental health struggles.
