I am here for anyone who is struggling, looking for support, help, or personal exploration. My goal is to provide a safe space and an outside perspective with which to collaborate and problem solve. I identify as queer, and I am LGBTQIA+ affirming. I work with people of all identities, genders, and relationship configurations. I recognize that each client is unique and therefore approach my work using a client-centered, strengths-based model to personalize treatment. I have the added benefit of having a sex therapy certified supervisor, which makes me a great fit for clients who wish to explore intimacy issues and sexual shame.

I am a passionate and dedicated queer therapist with a specialization in LGBTQ-related issues, substance use disorders, trauma, chemsex, sex, and men with sexual dysfunction. My focus is on providing tailored support and guidance to individuals, including gay and bisexual men, MSM (men who have sex with men), and straight men, in their journey towards achieving their mental health goals.

Hi, I'm Marina. With me, no topic, feeling, or situation is off-limits in the counseling space – I will treat you with respect to help you overcome what's hurting you. I work with individuals, couples/poly relationships, and families between the ages of preteen and elder. As a sex therapist, I have extensive experience working with kink and BDSM, polyamory, LGBTQ issues, gender therapy, sexual pleasure and dysfunction, pain with sex, negative body image, high or low libido, sex work, sex abuse, sexual trauma, and/or sexual shame, among other topics.

I currently work with clients in Washington State via telehealth, and have an in-person office in Colorado. I enjoy working with people of all ages and experiences, though I have particular insight into challenges more specific to women including body image, self-criticism, anxiety, perfectionisms, depression, shame, parenting, relationships, sex, and boundaries. At Praus Counseling I serve both adult and adolescent populations who struggle with problematic/maladaptive sexual behaviors and addictions. We live in a time where easy, limitless stimulation is all around us. Yet the topic of sex is saturated with so much shame that we often avoid it and never gain the ability to effectively discuss it with others. Through exploring familial upbringing, processing negative self-beliefs, building good habits, learning how to respond to natural urges, and gaining comfort and confidence discussing these issues, we can effectively reduce the shame that often drives continued problematic behavior.
