Much of our lives are spent trying to achieve these goals yet we continue to feel disappointed and like something is missing. I work with issues such as anxiety, depression, conflict in relationships, difficulty with emotions, trauma, shame, or even a general sense of hopelessness or discontentment in life. My hope in therapy is to come alongside you and make sense of what you are feeling and/or experiencing while working toward healing and wholeness in yourself and your relationships.

Life is a journey, a journey that is most difficult when traveled alone. I strive to walk with clients on their path towards healing and happiness. Working from a client-centered approach, it is essential for me to understand each client as an individual to develop trust and a partnership in therapy. Relationships, trauma, careers and other stressors take a toll on a person's ability to flourish. I believe that each person has potential for growth from those experiences. My goal is to help you regain your footing on your path to living a full and vibrant life.

Belief: life is comprised of a multitude of experiences each shaping who we are and how we engage in the world around us. We have the ability to re-evaluate and transform difficult or traumatic experiences into something new, creating a more whole self. This takes work, a desire to self-reflect, and at times, move toward change.

I am an EMDR trained therapist who specializes in working with those who have experienced trauma. I believe that humans have amazing potential to heal from even the most difficult experiences and that healing occurs in connection with others. I hope to offer a safe and accepting space where all beliefs and backgrounds feel welcome. I believe in taking a client-centered approach and that therapy should meet your individual and unique needs. The relationship between the counselor and client can be a powerfully healing one and I would be honored to have the opportunity to earn your trust.

I have worked with a wide array of clients, especially in my past career in Adventure Based Counseling. I have walked therapeutic, and literal, paths with people from all walks of life and with concerns ranging from depression and anxiety to personality disorders and trauma survivors. My ideal client is one that shows up physically, mentally, and emotionally for themselves. Healing, repairing, and integrating can be hard work. I love that my profession allows me to connect with a wide array of people. I work with individuals ranging from late adolescence to late adulthood. I also provide family sessions for my clients, as needed. Hearing people's experiences throughout my time as a counselor has shown me how resilient people can be, and it's truly inspiring. I enjoy working with motivated clients who are ready and willing to make changes and break out of unhealthy patterns.

My clients are successful professionals who have areas in their lives that they feel have become chaotic, due to addiction, abuse, and trauma. I believe that there is currently a large population of highly successful professionals who are struggling with these issues in an unhealthy way, such as watching pornography or sex. I am a Certified Sex Addiction Therapist (CSAT) specializing in sex/porn addictions, multiple addictions, trauma, abuse, and PTSD.

I hold a Bachelor’s of Science in Human Services from Evangel University, and received my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Missouri State University.
