While I can treat clients of all ages, most of my experience has been working with adults with substance use disorders and process addictions in an outpatient setting. I have experience with persons in the court systems and CPS, as well as those who are ready for a different, healthier, sober lifestyle. My goal is to serve the addiction and recovery community to the best of my abilities and skills and be a part in your journey towards healing.

My goal as your therapist is to meet you where you are at and help you navigate through the process of growth and healing. I have been in the human service field in some capacity since 2009. I use a person centered approach and believe that being authentic is an important part of the counseling process. I have primary worked with adolescents and adults with addictions and mental health. In this practice it is my goal to help the client feel safe enough to talk honestly and open with me to work through all aspects of their life.

I have over 30 years extensive experience working with both adolescents and adults in providing educational and treatment services. I use a belief-based recovery and treatment model to enhance and complement evidence-based treatment techniques. This philosophy has proven to provide an environment to build a spiritual foundation for continual sobriety and recovery from long term embedded hurts, habits and ongoing destructive behavior patterns that are the root causes of one's substance abuse.

We all experience some level of emotional distress throughout life. Sometimes the distress can be more than we can manage on our own. I have over 25 years of clinical experience working with children, adolescents, young adults, and families to navigate distress related to adverse life events, anxiety, depression, oppositional behaviors, anger, social skills, poor communication, and self-esteem.

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Hawaii, a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor in the state of a Montana and a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Wyoming. I have certifications as a Clinical Telemental Health Provider (CTMH) as well as a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP). I have over a decade of experience working in a variety of fields, including trauma, early childhood development, child and adolescent crisis, intensive-in-home family therapy, and private practice working with children, adolescents, families, couples and first responders.

I have over seven years of experience in dealing with those who suffer from addiction, severe mental illness and other diseases. I have worked as a case manager for both adults and youth which allows me to have a big picture mindset when it comes to the barriers and struggles that clients are having to cope with the struggles of today. Past experiences and traumas (including those in childhood) can create an internal fragmentation of self - disconnecting us from our inherent wholeness and worth, and causing us to view and experience life as something to be survived rather than lived.
