Hello! My name is Danielle and I am a New Jersey and Pennsylvania Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I have over 10+ years of experience working with children, teens and families. Many clients I have worked with have struggled with managing their anxiety and depression. Parents often feel helpless as to what to do. I have also worked with many families who are struggling with managing out-of-control behaviors from their children. My goal in therapy is to start where you and/or your family are and to give you the tools to reach your personal goals.

I have over twenty years of experience assisting patients cope with a variety of issues including depression, anxiety and substance abuse disorders. I view you as a person first. I work with my clients to give them the tools they need to be successful in and outside of therapy.

Courtney has a Dual Masters Degree in Counseling from Gwynedd Mercy University. She also completed post Master's coursework in Executive Functioning, Cognition and Development. Courtney has worked as a school counselor since 2011 with experience in elementary, middle and high school settings. Most recently, Courtney has been working as a clinical counselor with children, adolescents and young adults ages 5-25. Courtney is skilled at working with clients to develop solution focused goals. She takes a holistic approach using a combination of cognitive, behavioral, dialectical, attachment theory and play based therapy techniques.

With a compassionate and sensitive approach to the individuals journey in life, we make it a priority to fully understand the nature of our clients concerns and experiences. Our hope is that our clients feel completely heard and develop a sense of trust in the therapy process.

I believe that therapy is about more than "working things out." The therapeutic relationship is just that: a relationship. I provide a safe and supportive environment to express emotions that are often difficult to express in other settings; anger, grief, sadness, despair. It is my hope to work with you to better understand yourself, and create a sense of safety within yourself. No person exists in a vacuum, so I will encourage you to reflect on your past, and how it influences your present. I believe that lasting change, requires diving deep to address deep rooted patterns.

I specialize in working with children, teen and adult individuals as well as family systems being impacted by depression, anxiety, ADHD, substance abuse, eating disorders, LGBTQ+ topics, trauma processing/PTSD, relational challenges and behavioral disorders. Drawing from a variety of treatment styles and approaches including Experiential, Acceptance and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (one of the most effective treatments for many chronic, recurring, and challenging mental health conditions), I focus on establishment of systemic connection and the emotional experience, authenticity, empathic understanding and compassion.

I specialize in the treatment of mood disorders, anxiety, trauma, LGBTQ+ issues, relational conflict, struggles in parenting, and attachment concerns. I have worked with clients around adoption and relational loss and am passionate about working with adults and teens experiencing intense emotions. I have a diverse background, having worked with children, adolescents, adults and whole families, survivors of domestic violence and sexual abuse, and at-risk youth. I am a member of the ACA and the Association for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender Issues in Counseling, and take special interest in supporting the LGBTQ+ community.

Therapy is about relationships. Whether we are creating personal healing through the therapeutic relationship, changing the way we interact in romantic partnerships, at work, or with family, or shifting our relationship with trauma and other past wounds, we are creating a new space where empathy and compassion can grow.
