I specialize in working with individuals struggling with all types of addictions ie alcohol,drugs,sex,food,gambling. I view addictions in a broader sense to include self defeating thought patterns, love/relationship addiction, hoarding, internet use, procrastination. Addictions are about avoiding pain and getting trapped in a repetitive cycle of thoughts and behaviors that result in more pain and regret. I provide my clients with a roadmap to follow as they seek to reclaim their self-esteem, integrity and joy.

He earned his Master’s degree in Marriage & Family Therapy (M.S. MFT) at Oregon Institute of Technology, where he received specialized training and certification in Integrated Behavioral Healthcare, Medical Family Therapy and Advanced Systemic Addictions Counseling. Chad has experience supporting clients with substance abuse, addiction and the management of complex biopsychosocial health concerns. Before entering the therapy field, Chad worked as a pastor in a local Christian church. During his time as a pastor, he served alongside youth, couples and families providing pastoral counseling and support through various life-challenges.

That said men, understandably, have cultivated a natural and valid discomfort for talking out issues, with the legitimate fear of being harshly judged or truly not heard. Well, I’d like to help men who find counseling uncomfortable. Suicide is the 11th overall cause of death in America. MIDDLE-AGE men have the HIGHEST rate of suicide making up nearly 70% of those total numbers. I’m here to help those men that want to find help, and need to truly be heard. I have helped individuals working through issues related to self-esteem, depression, anxiety, various addictions, and relational or life transition issues. Many of the people that I have worked with share a common trait regardless of the reason they seek counseling: previous trauma(s).

I specialize in ketamine infusions for a variety of medical and neurological condition, including chronic regional pain syndrome, and brain fog. Ketamine-assisted psychotherapy (KAP) is offered. Our mental health team offers IV and IM ketamine injections, and oral or nasal as part of our maintenance program for the treatment of PTSD, anxiety, existential angst related to aging and medical conditions, acute suicidal ideation, treatment-resistant and major depression, mood disturbances, OCD, professional burnout, grief, and more.

I suppose every client is the "ideal" in the sense that each person brings a unique story worthy of dignity, grace, and respect. By the time a person walks into my office, he/she is usually exhausted, confused, empty, and/or feeling hopeless and alone. Not all, but many of the folks I see want to be known, understood, and accepted. Most believe the lie that "if people really knew me, what I think about, what I've done, or what's been done to me, they would not love me, accept me or want me their lives." I enjoy helping people experience the freedom grace can give and the hope it has to offer.

I work with individuals, couples, and families. I have helped develop Process Oriented family therapy; Process Oriented sex and intimacy work; Process Oriented personal and historical trauma work; Process oriented coma and brain injury work, I have written 11 books on these topics. My work integrates mind body and spirit.
