Thank you for viewing my counseling profile. I have had the privilege of working with individuals from a variety of backgrounds and challenges. I have helped individuals working through issues related to self-esteem, depression, anxiety, various addictions, and relational or life transition issues. Many of the people that I have worked with share a common trait regardless of the reason they seek counseling: previous trauma(s). I also provide assessments for Emotional Support Animal Letters for those that experience an emotional health benefit from their animal companion.
As a mental health counselor, I have discovered that having a broad and thorough understanding of trauma and its impact on current life stressors and mental health conditions are invaluable to those with whom I provide counseling. What you can expect from working with me is the creation of a safe, trauma informed, and authentic therapeutic relationship.
With respect to counseling practices, I use an eclectic blend of more traditional therapeutic treatment modalities including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Attachment Focused Therapy, and Narrative Therapy and also utilize Eye Movement Desensitization therapy (EMDR). I am available through telehealth to all of Oregon.
