I have had the privilege of working with individuals from a variety of backgrounds and challenges including those working through issues related to self-esteem, depression, anxiety, various addictions, and relational or life transition issues. Many of the people that I have worked with share a common trait regardless of the reason they seek counseling: previous trauma(s).
As a mental health counselor, I have discovered that having a broad and thorough understanding of trauma and its impact on current life stressors and mental health conditions are invaluable to those with whom I provide counseling. What you can expect from working with me is the creation of a safe, trauma informed, and authentic therapeutic relationship.
